Demi Lovato was among the performers at President Joe Biden’s Celebrating America inauguration event (January 20). Lovato did a rendition of Bill Withers’ classic single “Lovely Day.” She performed in front of a panel of screens, where a number of people (including some celebrities) helped her with backing vocals. “Lovely Day” was written by Bill Withers & Skip Scarborough and originally released December 21, 1977 on Withers’ 1977 album Menagerie. This marks the 3rd Inauguration featuring a Bill Withers’ song.
